Privacy Policy

Olympus Web Services, LLC (“Olympus Web Services”, “we”, “us”) builds websites for small businesses. This policy explains what information this website collects, why, and what we do with it. We keep it short because the site itself does very little: there is no advertising, no tracking pixel, and no analytics package on this site.

What we collect

We only receive personal information that you choose to send us.

• The question form on this site. When you use the “Have a question first?” form we receive the name, email address and message you enter.
• The project intake form. When you start a package we send you to a form hosted by Tally. Whatever you enter there — including your contact details and the project details you describe — is submitted to us through Tally, along with which package you selected.
• Email and Instagram. If you contact us directly, we receive whatever you include in that message.

We do not ask for payment card details through this website, and we do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.

What we do not do

• We do not run analytics, advertising or tracking scripts on this site.
• We do not set our own cookies.
• We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. Ever.
• We do not send marketing emails to people who have only made an enquiry.

How we use it

We use what you send us to:

• reply to your question or enquiry;
• prepare a quote and, if you go ahead, carry out the work and keep in touch about it;
• send invoices and keep the business records we are required to keep.

That is the whole list. If we ever wanted to use your details for something else — a testimonial, a case study, showing your site in our portfolio — we would ask you first.

Services we rely on

A few third parties necessarily handle data in order for this site to work. Each has its own privacy policy.

• Formspree — delivers the question form to our inbox. It receives the form contents and the technical information needed to deliver them.
• Tally — hosts the project intake form and stores the responses so we can read them.
• Cloudflare — hosts and serves this website. Like any web host it processes connection data, including IP addresses, in order to serve pages and protect the site from abuse.
• Google Fonts — serves the typefaces used on this site. Your browser requests the font files from Google, which means Google receives your IP address as part of that request.
• Content delivery networks — some scripts used for the animated artwork on the home page are loaded from public CDNs, which likewise receive your IP address as part of serving those files.

Links to Instagram are ordinary outbound links. Nothing is embedded from Instagram, so it does not see you unless you follow the link.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not turn into work are deleted within about 12 months. Records relating to actual projects — contracts, invoices, correspondence — are kept for as long as we need them for accounting and tax purposes, and then deleted. You can ask us to delete your information sooner and we will, unless we are required to keep it.

Your choices

You can ask us at any time to:

• tell you what information we hold about you;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete it;
• stop using it for a particular purpose.

Email olympuswebservicesllc@gmail.com and we will deal with it. We will not charge you for this and we will not make it difficult. Depending on where you live — for example in California, or in the UK or EU — you may have these rights in law as well; we apply them to everyone regardless.

Security

This site is served over HTTPS, and the services listed above are established providers with their own security practices. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so please do not send passwords, card numbers or other sensitive credentials through the forms on this site or by email.

Changes

If this policy changes we will update the date at the top of this page. If the change is significant and we are already working with you, we will tell you directly.
